ProDJpc’s clients have utilized many pieces of software to help them produce great results. Here are just a few of our favorites.
VirtualDJ Pro
VirtualDJ Pro is a great piece of software that most of our present clients use. It is very versatile and powerful, capable of controlling most any form of audio, video, karaoke, ambient and visualization you can think of. Another advantage of VirtualDJ is its skinnability. This was the first software program we were able to customize to work incredibly well with the touchscreen concept.
PCDJ DEX
This software, from one of the vanguards of DJ mixing software, is a great option for DJs and KJs. DEXs main skins are useable on a touchscreen, but new ProDJpc influenced skins will be out soon.
Jukebox Jockey
If you are looking to start up a jukebox rental company or trying to leaverage your existing DJ equipment investment, this is a piece of software worth looking at. It is easy to install, intuitive to use and has a great feature that locks out any unauthorized tampering with the computer once it is turned on. COmbine this software with an ALLn1-19 and you have a great new offering for corporate events and smaller parties that might not require a live DJ.
Chauvet ShowXpress
There are many DMX control offerings on the market, but we haven’t found any that provide the bang for the buck AND touchscreen useability of Chauvet ShowXpress. If you are still using a hardware controller, you will find using a software solution significantly easier to program and control. And if you are using software controllers without a touchscreen, you’ll find the interface unbelieveably flexible and intuitive.
Native Instruments Traktor Pro
Many DJs are using Traktor Pro to mix, modify and create new music on the fly. We have tried out the latest version and it does indeed work well on the ALLn1-19 and ALLn1-32. It is an ideal piece of software if you need to layer 2,3, or 4 pieces of music or samples together to work a room then this is the software for you.
Excel
Yeah, I know Microsoft’s spreadsheet offering isn’t really a hot piece of DJ software. But, in combination with a couple other pieces of software, it can help you sort, classify and clean up your data.
Vice Versa
ViceVersa lets you synchronize files, replicate folders, perform backups and do file and folder comparisons between computers, e.g. Laptop, Desktop, Workstation, Server, over network LAN, WAN, VPN, USB, and with any type of storage media including external Hard Disk, Zip disk, USB flash drive, CD-RW, DVD, NAS (Network Attached Storage). This is a great piece of software for comparing contents of folders, making sure your systems’ content is all up to date and backing up your most important asset, your data and software specific settings files.
AudioGrabber
This is a great, free piece of software that grabs digital audio from cd’s. Audiograbber can automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, and encode them to a variety of formats including MP3. Audiograbber can download and upload disc info from freedb, an Internet compact disc database. With our fast track guide, you can be ripping and encoding your CD collection in no time.
